Secret Tips for Preventing Acne & Pimples

Pimple problem on the face? It is a real problem for most of the womanhood. Why? Because our bodies are going through such drastic changes all the time, especially during menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause. Most importantly, hitting puberty becomes a hardship for many girls as they start experiencing pimples and body and facial hair growth around this time.

Yes, these things are natural to all women, but it doesn’t mean you have to live with them. There are ways to prevent and contain these problems, including pimples and unwanted hair growth. However, before rushing to the cure, we must understand the causes of pimples to help ourselves go for the treatment best suited to us.

For instance, for pimples, you must protect your skin from environmental factors, adopt healthy eating habits to control hormonal changes, focus on your skincare routine, exercise, and sleep better.

In this article, we will learn about the internal causes of acne to cover the issue in detail. For other factors, I will be coming up with another article soon.

Causes Of Pimples

Most of the time, it is the excessive production of sebum that is responsible for blackheads. If, in addition, dead cells obstruct the orifice of the sebaceous gland ducts, then the sebum does not drain well, accumulates, ends up clogging the pores, and a comedo appears. The balance of the acidic protective layer of the skin is disturbed; bacteria can penetrate more easily, proliferate and cause mini-inflammation – a pimple appears.

Six Factors Favouring Pimples:

  1. Neglecting facial cleansing: not removing make-up in the evening can cause clogged pores, as well as the appearance of blackheads, pimples, and other comedones.
  2. Use care products that are unsuitable for the skin type: for example, creams that are too nourishing in the case of oily skin. Better: lightweight fluids and gel formulas.
  3. Too infrequently clean brushes and other make-up tools.
  4. Bacteria carried by the fingers on the face can cause inflammation.
  5. Hormonal changes, e.g., during menstruation or menopause.
  6. Food also plays an important role: it seems that an excess of dairy products and sugary foods could promote pimples.

Methods and Remedies Against Pimples to Avoid

Here are some of the remedies people will ask you to use for pimples; never use these, or you will worsen the problem.

1. Toothpaste as a Cure for Pimples?

That toothpaste dries out pimples and blackheads and helps make them disappear quickly, thanks to its antibacterial effect.

Although, toothpaste has substances that are irritable to your skin. Baking powder or baby powder are milder home remedies for pimples.

2.  Lemon Against Pimples?

The effectiveness of this home remedy for pimples is questionable. In addition, lemon juice on face can irritate your sensitive skin, promoting the appearance of blackheads, acne, pimples, and other comedones on the face or other parts of the body.  In particular, spots that are already inflamed may sting strongly on contact with lemon juice.

3. Fruit Peels Effective Against Pimples?

Peels are perfect for preventing the appearance of spots because they effectively cleanse the skin and free it from dead cells that could clog pores. This can therefore help to avoid blackheads and pimples. But if your face already has inflamed pimples, take a break from the peel so as not to attack the already irritated skin even more.

Prevent Pimples: Care Ritual for Skin Prone to Impurities

  • Every day: cleanse your skin well, e.g., with cleansing peels against pimples.
  • Once or twice a week: apply an anti-pimple mask. It frees the skin from dead cells, impurities, and excess sebum.
  • The general rule: prefer skincare products designed specifically for skin prone to impurities. More precisely: check that they bear the mention of “non-comedogenic.” This product has a light texture and does not clog the pores even more.

Keep reading to know about the secret remedies for pimples that have proven effective!

  1. The Tomato Against Sudden Acne

With the lifestyle you lead (stress, lack of sleep, food gaps), you are not immune to a sudden outbreak of pimples. Did you know that tomatoes are a valuable ally against unexpected acne? Packed with minerals and vitamins, including antioxidants C and A, this vegetable has anti-infectious, cleansing, and healing properties on the skin.

You can use it as a mask: A tomato is cut into thin slices and applied to acne pimples for about twenty minutes. Then rinse with plenty of water before cleaning your skin with mild soap to prevent skin from drying out and preserve the skin’s balance. Repeat it for eight days.

2. Tea Tree Essential Oil/ White Vinegar to Dry Up Acne Pimples

To get rid of pimples naturally, tap on them with a cotton swab soaked in tea tree essential oil with disinfectant properties. We repeat the gesture several times a day until the pimple dries up and eventually disappears.

No tea tree essential oil? We substitute a cotton ball soaked in white vinegar or a slice of lemon that we gently tap on the pimple for a few minutes.

3. An Anti-Acne Disinfectant Mask

Mix two tablespoons of clay, the juice of half a lemon, two drops of peppermint essential oil, and one drop of tea tree essential oil. We put the preparation as a mask on the T zone, that is, the forehead, the nose, and the chin, the parts most prone to pimples. Avoid the eye area. Leave on for a good 10 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.

4. Alum Stone Against Post-depilation Pimples

Alum stone is an effective remedy for those with itching, redness, and pimples after waxing. This stone, a mixture of potassium and aluminum sulphate, can be purchased in drugstores and organic stores. It is wet and applied to the depilated parts. Soothing and calming, the alum stone will prevent ingrown hairs and unwanted pimples.
